Alyssa M. Kolber, JD

Alyssa Kolber serves as Counsel at MarketCounsel and is an Associate of the Hamburger Law Firm, an affiliated boutique law firm providing the securities industry with unparalleled legal counsel. At MarketCounsel, she is responsible for overseeing the quality of client service as well as identifying program development project that meet the needs of clients, all while ensuring that clients’ expectations are exceeded. She is also responsible for providing assistance to clients of the RIA Incubator program as well as members of the RIA Institute for Compliance Management.

Previously, Ms. Kolber served as a law clerk in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission and was also a Law Clerk at the New Jersey Superior Court. Alyssa is admitted to the bars of New Jersey and New York. She has successfully passed the NASAA Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam (Series 65).

Alyssa earned her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and another Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. In connection with her work, she was granted membership in Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society in Economics. Alyssa went on her earn her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, graduating with honors while a member of The George Washington University International Law Review.

Alyssa lives, with her husband Brian, in northern New Jersey. When not at work, she enjoys traveling, spending time at the Jersey shore, Broadway shows, and spending time with family and friends.
