Brian J. Rypkema, JD

Brian J. Rypkema serves as Counsel at MarketCounsel and is an Associate of the Hamburger Law Firm, an affiliated boutique law firm providing the securities industry with unparalleled legal counsel. His current work concentrates in the areas of the regulation and compliance of investment advisers and broker-dealers, securities industry employment, and regulatory controversies.

Prior to joining the firm, Brian served as a tax associate in the Manhattan office of Ernst & Young, LLP, where he specialized in cross-border transactions and corporate restructurings. Brian is admitted to the bars of New Jersey and New York.

Brian earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola College of Maryland, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
